The Northeast Monsoon affects parts of Northern and Central Luzon, while the easterlies prevail across the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
According to PAGASA’s weather forecast issued on Wednesday afternoon, the combined effects of the trough of the low pressure area and the easterlies may cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan and Bicol Region.
The LPA, which was last seen 185 kilometers south of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Wednesday night or Thursday.
A report by Balitanghali on Wednesday said that the likelihood of the LPA reverting to a tropical cyclone is minimal.
The Northeast Monsoon will cause cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Northern Luzon may experience strong winds with rough waters.
The rest of Luzon, and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao are forecast to have moderate to strong waters with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters.
