Danerie James “Wise” Del Rosario and Blacklist International made easy work of Turkey’s Incendio Supremacy, 1-0, to open their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championship campaign on Sunday in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Wise, who was among the core members that delivered the M3 title back in December 2021, flaunted a perfect game with three kills, including the first blood in the first minute, to go along with six assists against zero deaths.
The veteran jungler was hailed the MVP of the match for his masterful use of Valentina as the Codebreakers went 1-0 early in Group A while Incendio dropped to 0-1.
Blacklist head coach Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza said the win was a great start for their redemption bid, especially after coming off a silver medal finish in the 14th IESF World Esports Championships last month.
“We’d like to redeem ourselves because we lost in MPL Invitational then IESF but we want to redeem ourselves and hopefully we can defend the crown, our title and make history in MLBB,” said BON CHAN.
The Philippine representative will have a one-day break before marching back to the Land of Dawn. It will face Burn x Flash of Cambodia and Falcon Esports of Myanmar on January 3 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively.
