Visayas, Mindanao, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Quezon will be cloudy with scattered rains due to LPA, ITCZ │ GMA News Online

At 3 a.m. Thursday, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 130 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) that will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao, according to PAGASA.

The weather bureau is also monitoring the tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility is 2,435 kilometers east of Mindanao with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 70 kph and moving in the west northwest direction at 10kph.

Visayas, Mindanao, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the LPA / ITCZ with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeasterly surface windflow with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Ilocos Region, Abra, and Benguet will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeasterly surface windflow with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The wind speed forecast for Mindanao is moderate to strong moving northwest to southwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
