The Local Government of General Luna attends the Exit Meeting of Sustainable Interventions for Biodiversity, Oceans, and Landscapes Project (SIBOL) on August 5, 2022, at New Pastoral, Dapa, Surigao del Norte. The said meeting has the follwing agenda:
1. Presentation on marine ground truthing preliminary field observations and results
2. Presentation on aerial ground truthing preliminary field observations and results
3. Upcoming SIBOL activities (study of drivers of land-use change, rapid biodiversity assessment)
4. Next steps and ways forward
SIBOL is one of USAID’s biodiversity conservation projects working at the national level, and in both terrestrial and marine ecosystems, in the Philippines including the Island of Siargao.
Present in the activity representing the municipality are Ms. Gemila Eunice Estobo – MENRO Designate and Hon. John Christopher C. Silvosa – Chairman Committee on Environmental Protection.
