The southwesterly windflow and localized thunderstorms will continue to bring rains across the country, the state weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday.

Palawan, Western Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, the Zamboanga Peninsula, and BARMM may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods and landslides in the affected areas.

Moderate winds and coastal water conditions are forecast in the northern and eastern sections of Luzon. The rest of the country, meanwhile, may experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

PAGASA said Super Typhoon Mawar, which is still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, was seen 2,000 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon at 3 p.m.

It was moving west-northwestward at 15 kilometers per hour while packing maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 240 km/h.
