The southwesterly surface windflow will affect the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon, weather bureau PAGASA said on Thursday.
Based on PAGASA’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, the Ilocos Region, Calabarzon, Metro Manila, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwesterly surface windflow.
The weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for extreme Northern Luzon is moderate moving southwest, while coastal water conditions will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speeds with slight to moderate coastal water conditions. —Mel Matthew Doctor/VBL, GMA News
