The shear line is affecting the eastern part of Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) prevails in Luzon and Visayas, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast released on Wednesday afternoon.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region, and Northern Mindanao, while the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Visayas.
Localized thunderstorms may cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
Flash floods and landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, strong winds with rough waters may be felt over the northern and eastern sections of the country, while the rest of the country is forecast to have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters.
The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 6:25 a.m. on Thursday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
