RSG Slate Philippines completed a day of upsets as it stunned second seed Echo Philippines, 3-2, in their upper bracket semifinals encounter in the MPL Philippines Season 11 on Friday night at the SMX Convention Center.
The win allowed RSG to set up an upper bracket finals duel with Blacklist International, who earlier pulled off a similar upset after thrashing top seed Bren Esports in four games, 3-1.
RSG also moved a series win away from a return trip to the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) stage where the Raiders are currently the defending champions.
RSG and Blacklist will duke it out on Saturday at 5 p.m. for a slot at the Grand Finals while Echo and Bren will fight for their lives at 1 p.m.
