The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday said its number of COVID-19 cases among personnel reached 39,115 after 212 new infections were reported.
Of this number, 2,279 cases are active, according to data from the PNP Health Service.
New recoveries numbered 198, driving up the total recoveries to 36,720.
Meanwhile, the death toll climbed to 116 after one new fatality was reported.
The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday said the country’s total tally of COVID-19 cases rose to 2,453,328 after 18,659 new infections were recorded.
The nation’s active cases went up to 175,324, the DOH added.
Total recoveries climbed to 2,240,599 with 9,088 new ones.
Meanwhile, the death toll remained at 37,405 after the DOH reported no new fatalities due to technical issues. —KG, GMA News
