“Wala itong direktang epekto sa anumang bahagi ng ating bansa at maliit ang tsansang maging bagyo, subalit patuloy tayo magmo-monitor at magbibigay ng update dito [It has no direct effect on any part of the country and has little chance of becoming a storm, but we will continue to monitor it and provide updates],” meteorologist Chris Perez said in the weather bureau’s 4 p.m. video.

PAGASA added that the Southwest Monsoon will bring rains over northern and Central Luzon.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over the Ilocos Region and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan due to the southwest monsoon.

PAGASA advised affected residents to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the southwest monsoon or localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are also possible due to severe thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

Further, Northern and Central Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate waters will be experienced over the rest of the country. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
