Javi Gomez de Liaño and the Ibaraki Robots extended their losing skid to three after a 93-67 defeat against the Kawasaki Brave Thunders on Sunday in the Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League).
After leading by just 13 points at the end of the first half, 45-32, the Brave Thunders poured in 33 points in the third period to increase their lead at the end of the said quarter, 78-53.
Kawasaki led by as much as 27 points, 80-53, early in the fourth quarter, a margin too much for the Robots to overcome.
On Saturday, Ibaraki also lost to Kawasaki, 105-96.
Gomez de Liaño logged three rebounds and an assist in 11:53 minutes of action for the Robots. Marc Trasolini made 16 points and five rebounds in the loss.
Nick Fazekas flirted with a triple-double performance of 19 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists to lead Kawasaki’s win.
The Robots (2-12) will see action again on December 4 against the Chiba Jets.
