iNFOCUS: IOM Philippines distributed MHPSS kits and conducted Psychological First Aide to the people of Brgy. Caub, Del Carmen | December 02, 2022
The United Nations’ International Organization for Migration (IOM) thru the help of the government of Japan continued its support to the local government’s efforts of Del Carmen led by Mayor JR Coro, to assist communities in Siargao Island especially in Del Carmen that was devastated by Typhoon Odette (Rai), the most powerful storm of 2021.
IOM team extends its services in supporting education, to leave no one behind to Del Carmenon who’s residing the far-flung area of Brgy. Caub by providing Mental Health & Psychosocial Support and Hygiene kits such as:
✅ 43 Educational Kits
✅ 30 Gallons of Casino Ethyl Alcohol
✅ 400 kn94 IOM Printed Facemask
✅ 1200 Washable Pedia Facemask
✅ 108 Alcohol Spray
✅ 24 Bottles of Safeguard Hand Soap
Further, IOM team conducted a Psychological first aide session to parents and students to renew hopes for mental awareness to help them somehow forget the stress and trauma that they’ve been through and to protect their mental well-being.
