How to Construct the Unsinkable Fiberglass Boat: Bangkang Pinoy Part 4. Siguardong handa ka ng mangisda pag natapos na ang bangka, ngunit anu anu pa ang huling hakbang sa pag buo ng bangkang pinoy.

HOW IT WORKS BANGKANG PINOY FINALIZING THE HULL
Ngayong na hiwalay na ang mold sa bagong gawang bangka we are now ready to put ribs or stiffeners to strengthen the boat and preventing for wild bling

PREPARATION OF STIFFENERS
- yung ribs o yung stiffeners ng ating bangka ang fiberglass bangka is made of Styrofoam magcut kayo ng 2inches yung lapad, you can cut this either using the ordinary sow after cutting we tried to smoothed the board using sandpaper so you tried to removed that paper before a using the board on the boat. The stiffener would really strengthened yung boat natin yung bangka.

SETTING UP OF STIFFENERS
Ang ginagawa anatin dito nilagyan natin sya ng masilya para idikit dun sa ating fiberglass boat. Ang lumalabas kasi is so close the stiffeners kasi parang brace kasi talaga sya para hindi na nagwowoble yung bangka natin and then after that kasi minsan mahaba sya yung measurements natin you just trim the ports kasi haba ng or the same length lang sya dun sa depth ng ating bangka so meron tayong vertical and horizontal support and the same time dun po sa base or sa hull ng ating fiber glass na bangka. Bangkang Pinoy Part 4

Nag lagay din tayo ng stiffeners dun, yung distance nya this is based on the hull calculation din initial computation ng ating engineer for support I think is 16 inches yung distance ng bawat ribs natin hanggang sa pag dating natin sa dulo. To make the support or the ribs strong we use 2 layers or 2 lay up of CM450, we covered CM450 mats, again using resin.

So after dry up we use another lay up ng CM450 as you can see mas lalong kumapal yung bangka natin because of the additional lay up ng 450 mats plus yung support na ribs sa stiffeners. After na nalagay natin ang mga stiffeners natin or yung ribs ng ating bangka the next thing you do is to prepared na yung mga compartments that would serve is a yung parang wall nung fibersglass wall mo to hold your floatation systems which is a polyurethane A and B.
The next is the yung pag add na natin ng polyurethane A and B float , so ito na yung foam ng polyurethane foam once na mag mix sya its form into a foam that will serve as are floatation insure that the boat will not sink. Mag apply ng masilya para proteksyon narin para tumibay yung surface for the last application ng isang layer ng 450 na mat to sealed yung compartment natin.
The next step is color it yung gel-kote na ginamit natin yung first nating na lay up dun sa mold yun parin ang gagamitin natin and then after na timpla na sya ipapahatid na natin dun sa inside ng ating fiber glass boat and then hintayin na lang sya matuyo siguro it will take time mga another 15 to 20 minutes.
INSTALLATION OF UNDERWATER ACCESSORIES AND OUTRIGGERS
the next will be the assembly na nating yung underwater accessories the first thing we do is yung mag Butas tayo dun para sa ating propeller shofting.
Since this is a small bangka ang gagawin natin ang pinaka suitable dito na engine is yung 5.5 force power marine engine para atleast aline sya walang vibration na mangyayari kung sakaling mag andar na yung engine.

If all is well all is good the next will be the yung mga outriggers na natin which is usually made of bamboo so napakadali naman kasing meron na tayong mga post sa ating mga bangka where we can attach the outriggers or katig.
Bangkang pinoy is very promising because of durability against typhoon minimal cost and long lasting capability and the end of the day layunin ng bangkang pinoy na masagip at protektahan ang buhay at kinabukasan ng mangingisdang pilipino.
