H.E Luc Veron’s visit is for the ground-breaking ceremony of PROJECT SMILE of the World Wide Fund for Nature Philippines (WWF) in Barangay Anajawan of the Municipality of General Luna
SMILE, short for Solar ComMunity-Based Island Tourism and Livelihood Energizer Platform, which is funded by the European Union (EU), aims to provide adequate 24/7 renewable energy services that is connected to a resilient and efficient power network to harness and develop the sustainable eco-tourism potentials as well as catalyzed environmentally-sound livelihood opportunities.
Mayor Sol Forcadilla Matugas expressed her gratitude to the European Union through Ambassador Luc Veron. The Honorable Mayor is much grateful and optimistic that this initiative will open new opportunities for the betterment and improvement of General Luna.
