A Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte local died of diarrhea while 397 other residents were being treated for the illness.
According to a Monday “24 Oras” report, the diarrhea outbreak was allegedly caused by contaminated water.
The Sto. Tomas Municipal Information Office said the residents’ condition worsened as they refused to get hospitalized for fear of getting infected with COVID-19.
